My first Warhammer lesson

Ok, a couple of days ago I went to Games Workshop at Meadowhall for my first Warhammer lesson.

I learnt lots, we looked at movement, shooting and combat. I was on the evil side (Lizardmen, Tomb Kings and Skaven) and we were against Dwarves, Elves and Empire. I was there for about 2 hours and totally loved it!

Thank you to all the staff who work there and I'll see you next Sunday!

This week I'm going to practise against some of my Dads Empire army, hopefully try out some magic and get a few more Skinks painted.

See you later folks!

...and so it begins

Hello fellow wargamers, my name is Alex, I'm a 9 year old Warhammer beginner. I've painted a couple of my dads miniatures before, now I'm starting my first army.

Lizardmen. Why? Cos they are flippin sweet! The models and the story are amazing!

So far I've managed to get some Skinks, Saurus Warriors, Jungle Swarms, Cold One Cavalry and an Old Blood. They are all built and undercoated, this blog will record how I get on with painting them and playing them, so check back regularly!

I've painted up a test Skink and I think this will be the colour scheme I'll be going with, turquoise skin blending out to black on the hands, feet, tail and nose and boney/browny scales.
Skink number one, I'm going to give every Skink some kind of warpaint to make them all look a little bit different
I'm off to my local Games Workshop on Sunday for a beginners lesson on how to play Warhammer Fantasy, so I'll post again after that and let you know how I get on.

In the meantime make sure you check out an awesome blog called Miasma of Pestilence and TheJoeyberry's YouTube channel, both are very, very excellent!

Any suggestions, advice or comments are welcome!
